Chalupy Since 1981, the legendary race of old traditional fishing boats has been organised in Chalupy. This unique festival, which takes place in late July, is a great opportunity to learn more about the Kashubian folklore through entertaining competitions and local shows. It also gives you an opportunity to listen to the Kashubian dialect and taste local specialties such as freshly baked bread with lard and homemade pickled gherkins. Offshore fishermen pilgrimage This local tradition of over 30 years takes tourists offshore to the Bay of Puck, offering outstanding views. The fishermen pilgramage starts at the Hel Peninsula and ends in Puck where the special church fête (Saint Peter’s and Saint Paul’s pardon) takes place.
